What is Bore Pile?

Bore pile is a pile foundation system made by drilling the ground to a certain depth, then filling the borehole with reinforcing steel and cast concrete. This method produces cylindrical foundation piles with high vertical load-bearing capacity.

Unlike driven piles that are hammered into the ground, bore pile is done by drilling so that it does not cause excessive vibration and is safer for densely built-up areas.

When Does a Project in Bali Need Bore Pile?

Not all projects require bore pile. Here are the conditions that typically require this pile foundation system:

Bore Pile Process by JKR

1. Survey & Point Marking: The JKR team together with the project supervisor determines the bore pile points based on structural drawings.
2. Unit Mobilization: SANY SY75C excavator with auger attachment is delivered to the site using a lowbed trailer.
3. Soil Drilling: The auger rotates into the ground according to the specified diameter and depth.
4. Hole Cleaning: Excavated material is lifted out, the hole is cleaned of mud and loose material.
5. Reinforcement Bar Installation: Performed by the project owner's structural team (not included in JKR's service).
6. Concreting: The hole is poured by the project owner's team. Process complete.
